When it comes to the Thunderball lottery game it’s obviously not quite as popular as games like Euromillions and Lotto simply because the jackpot amount never rises above the half a million mark. Even if a jackpot isn’t won on this game, which is quite often, it doesn’t rollover. However on Saturday 9th June an impressive four winning tickets were sold meaning each player holding a ticket is now £500,000 better off!

Whilst the jackpot doesn’t roll, the top prize money on Thunderball never changes so even if there were 25 winners, they would all receive the £500,000 jackpot.

The winning numbers for Saturday’s draw were 4, 18, 22, 28 and 31 with the Thunderball 30, all of which were on the four winning tickets. Prior to this draw the last time the top prize was won was on 18th May 2012 but we haven’t seen this many winners on the game since 17th December 2011 when five lucky ticket holders claimed the top prize.

In the Saturday Thunderball results were 11 players who matched just 5 main balls to win the second prize tier amount of £5,000 on Saturday’s draw and over 95,000 who managed to match just the Thunderball for the lowest prize of £3.

It might seem more appealing to play the bigger jackpot games but you only have to take a look at the odds of winning a £500,000 jackpot prize on Thunderball in comparison with other lotteries to see that it might be worth a punt.
