Be very careful when you are next at the Lottery machine in your local supermarket, a pensioner recently stripped to his underpants in his local Tesco store in a row over a lottery ticket.
The 68 year old man accused a shop assistant of not handing him his ticket and change after he paid ten pound for two £1.50 lucky dips and a £2 scratch card. The assistant serving the gentlemen insisted she had in fact handed him his change and tickets and promptly banned him from the store in Surrey. However the assistant later realised she had in fact made a terrible mistake and gave him his tickets and a £10 voucher by way of an apology.
The gentleman, who has to live on a tight pension, told how he had to strip to prove there was no money or lottery ticket on him. He later said ‘I did it for the principle not the money’.
It has been said many a time; money is certainly no laughing matter. People really look forward to their weekly spend on the Lottery as the promise of living the high life lures people all around the country.
The moral of the story, keep safe and play Lotto online, where there is no danger of forgetful shop assistants leaving you stripped bare!!
