It always amazes us how many unclaimed lottery prizes there are in the UK. Who buys a ticket and then doesn’t check if it’s a winner? The UK Euromillions winner from Friday.who is now £63.8 million better off, has still not stepped forward to claim their cash.Surely that’s the fun of playing any of the lotteries available the world over. Here we take a look at the unclaimed lottery prizes expiring in June 2012.

There aren’t as many as we expected to be honest, last month there were quite a few more so maybe people are being more careful with their tickets!

There are just three unclaimed lottery prizes set to expire in June 2012, two of which are Euromillions Millionaire Raffle prizes from the last big Mega Raffle draw (of which there is to be another on 27th July, 100 Millionaire Raffle winners in one night!).

The two Euromillions tickets were sold in West Berkshire and the Cardiff area and both were from draw number 444 on 23rd December 2011. These two tickets will expire on 20th June, in just eight days time.

For Lotto there is just one ticket and it’s for a match 5 + bonus prize worth £77,702. The ticket was purchased in the City of Glasgow and was for the draw on New Year’s Eve. The winning numbers were 7, 11, 37, 38, 42 and 44 with the Bonus Ball number 2. This ticket will expire on 28th June.

If ticket holders don’t come forward and claim their prizes by the expiration date then all of the money is added to the Good Causes pot so check, double check and triple check any old lottery tickets that you may have laying around.
